- Tie cord: practice tying bows and knots.
- Cover: Who is on the cover? Compare size, age, clothes, colors…

- Mother carrying baby; backpack – who carries a backpack?
- Clothes: what does a baby wear? What do young boys and girls wear?
- Food: what does a baby drink/eat? What do young boys and girls eat?
- Writing/Drawing: Can you thread the cord through the letter? Can you draw/write on a line? What color pencils do you like to use?
- Concepts and coordination: in/out, big/small, tall/short, through, up/down, behind/in front, over/under, on/off …
- Colors and labels: each page is full of color, texture and items to aid children’s vocabulary development
